Giorgos Kimoulis, Dimitris Gotsopoulos and Thodoris Katsafados, produced by Christos Tripodis’ Methexis company, present, during the summer season throughout Greece and Cyprus, Sophocles’ tragedy “PHILOCTETIS”
\nIn Philoctetes, Sophocles dramatizes a fraud, which Odysseus organizes and which Neoptolemus, the young son of Achilles, undertakes to execute. The two men arrive at the uninhabited island of Lemnos, at the edge, at the end of the world, where the Achaeans had abandoned Philoctetes for ten years, wounded by an incurable wound. Their mission is to steal the famous bow of Philoctetes, because without it the fall of Troy is impossible.
