The Municipal Choir of Mytilene “Nikos Myrogiannis,” under the auspices of the Municipality of Mytilene, is organizing a Four-Day Creative Workshop on Vocal Exploration and Choral Practice as part of the pre-festival educational programs of the 2nd Summer Music Festival of the Municipality of Mytilene. The workshop will be led by composer Nikos Kypourgos, conductor Rozi Mastrosavva, and musician-director Thodoris Abazis.

The workshop will include vocal exploration games and exercises, as well as choral practice based on a specific Greek repertoire. This repertoire will be sent to the group leaders as soon as the registration process is completed at the end of May. The final day of the workshop will be open to friends and family who wish to attend as an audience. Details regarding the daily schedule of the workshop will be announced after the submission of registrations.

Each group leader needs to provide the following information:
The exact number of participants in their group.
The full name of each participant.

It is recommended that conductors teach the choral pieces to their groups in advance and distribute photocopies of the music sheets to their choristers. This will allow the workshop to focus on expressive details and the interpretation of the songs rather than note-learning.
