On August 31st, the village of Ippeios hosts the Fig Festival — a cultural event celebrating the rich history and significance of the fig in the region.

The event program includes presentations offering a brief overview of the history of the fig in the region, accompanied by the screening of a short documentary. In parallel, expert speakers will provide information on the fig’s properties and nutritional value. The evening will conclude with dance performances by the Cultural Association of Ippeios.
