“Behind Closed Doors” at the Theatrical Workshop of the Municipality of Mytilene

April 26 | 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm

This event has passed.

The Theatrical Workshop of the Municipality of Mytilene presents the play “Behind Closed Doors,” the iconic work by Jean-Paul Sartre, on April 25 and 26 at 8:30 p.m., at the Theatrical Workshop venue in Chrysomallousa.

The performance is staged by amateur actors from Mytilene, in collaboration with the association “Floga,” with a deeply social and humanitarian purpose, as all proceeds will be donated to support the organization.

The play “Behind Closed Doors” (Huis Clos), first presented in 1944 in Paris, is considered one of the most important examples of existentialist theatre. Through its intense and gripping atmosphere, Jean-Paul Sartre explores concepts such as freedom, responsibility, and human loneliness, raising the timeless question of our relationship with others.

With respect for the original work and a fresh stage approach, the performance aspires to move the audience, combining artistic expression with social contribution.
