The Agiasos Municipal Community and the Municipality of Mytilene are jointly organizing the 7th Cherry Festival, which will take place on Sunday, 7 June 2026, in Agiasos.

• From 11:00 a.m., 600 kilograms of cherries will be distributed free of charge to residents and visitors at key locations throughout the village (Town Hall Square, Market Square, Stavri, and Kampoudi).
• 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  The Visual Arts Department of the Agiasos Reading Society (Anagnostirio Agiasou) will host cherry-themed arts and crafts activities at the Visit Agiasos venue.
• Sousamli Bakery will prepare and offer mini tarts with mastic cream and cherries at the entrance of its shop.
• The social cooperative “Flavours of Agiasos” (Geuseis Agiasou), a women’s cooperative, will offer traditional cherry sweets based on old local recipes at the Visit Agiasos venue.
• Samara Distillery will present and offer tastings of its new product, KALESMA Cherry Liqueur, at its stand in Town Hall Square.
• At its headquarters in the Municipal Park, Visit Agiasos presents: “The Hunt for the Lost Cherry” A photography exhibition featuring works by ten distinguished photographers showcasing scenes from Agiasos. A musical program by the choirs of the Mytilene Senior Citizens’ Centre (KAPI), the Ippeios Women’s Choir, and the Agiasos Choir, conducted by Ourania Prasinou-Douka (National Conservatory, Mytilene Branch). Creative children’s activities centered on the cherry theme, organized by the Oxygen Academy KDAP team.
• 13:00 pm:
• 14:00 pm: A guided nature walk will depart from Town Hall Square, led by Panagiotis Koutskoudis, through the uniquely beautiful landscape of Agiasos. Participants will walk through the village’s cherry orchards and conclude at the Agios Ioannis area, where refreshing treats will be offered.
• Throughout the festival, free beverages will be provided courtesy of the event sponsors.
