For the first time in Lesvos, the AVALANCHE CHALLENGE MTB is being organized in the Amali area. Athletes will start from sea level, aiming to reach the summit of Mount Amali. From the summit, the timed AVALANCHE route will begin, leading back down to the starting point.

The impressive group start from the summit of Amali will give athletes enough time to line up by the time they reach the entrance of the trail. Certainly, overtaking on the trails will be challenging, but there will be plenty of opportunities for passing on the forest roads between the trails. The finish will be at the same spot where we started in the morning, at sea level.

The AVALANCHE CHALLENGE MTB AMALI, taking place on April 26 and 27 on the Amali Peninsula, is organized by the Lesvos Cycling Club and the Municipality of Mytilene, with the support of the Natural History Museum. The technical advisor for the race is LESVOS RIDE. The start will be at the Kratigos small port at 9:00 AM.

SCHEDULE

The Technical Briefing will take place on Friday, April 25, at 8:00 PM (location to be announced).

On the morning of Saturday, April 26, free practice sessions will be held. At 4:00 PM, a prologue will take place at an as-yet undisclosed location to properly position the athletes for the start. The meeting point for the prologue will be announced on Saturday and sent via email to all participants.

The athlete participation fee is 30 euros. There will be no last-minute registrations. Participant numbers will be distributed at a location and time to be announced.
